What to expect
Whether you are brand new to church or have been attending church for many years, you are welcome at ECCC! Our Sunday Worship service starts at 9:15am and lasts for about an hour and a half. The service is mostly contemporary with a splash of tradition. The congregation is diverse in age and increasingly multicultural.
We aim to provide seekers / sceptics an opportunity to consider and interact with God and his Word. We also seek to provide Christ-followers an authentic time of worship singing and feeding from God’s Word.
There is a parking lot in front of the church (32 Markham Road), including two disabled parking bays. If you cannot fit into the parking lot you may park in the road, we just ask that you respect our neighbours driveways!
There is no dress code! Feel free to come in a casual and comfortable outfit or, if want to, a bit more dressed-up. We believe that God in more concerned about what is happening on the inside that what we look like on the outside.
Although people are creatures of habit, there is no reserved seating. So if its empty feel free to sit there.
We have a vibrant and exciting Children’s Church that runs concurrently with the service. We cater for children between the ages of 2 and 18. There is also a cry-room at the back of the church for parents with babies.
The service is a mixture of singing, praying, preaching, and sharing church family matters. We sing to express praise, adoration and thanks to God. We pray to express our needs and our dependence on God for his daily provision. We have a 25 minute sermon that helps us better understand who God is and how we should live. We share church family matters because our church is a family and we share concerns, needs and events.
Yes, we do take an offering. If you are visiting there is no expectation for you to give, so please do not feel any pressure. The gifts and offerings of our church are given by our members and adherents to support the work of our church and other Christian work further afield.
Most people go through to the hall and have a cup of tea or coffee. Please join us and get to know a couple of people who attended the church service.
