Core 2011

East Claremont is a gospel community on mission.  This statement defines who we are and what we do.  This sermon series will explore what it means for our church to give feet to this statement.

a gospel…
The gospel is at the center of God's plan for this world.  Jesus, the God-man bursts into history and does for mankind what he cannot do for himself.  Through his life, death and resurrection, we can come into a relationship with God SO THAT we can live for the glory of God!

…community…
But the gospel is far more than that!  Because we are in a relationship with God we are also in relationship with other Christians.  It is in this environment that God calls us to grow and serve (Eph. 4:11-16).

…on mission.
The gospel also propels us out.  God's desire is that all should hear and that all should come to faith.  And we have been given the privilege of taking the message to a lost and broken world (Matt. 28:19-20).
